Recently, our chief had a neatly-lettered motivational sign put above the mirror in our locker room. It says: "A Neat Appearance Commands Respect."
It wasn't up three days before some wise-ass cop wrote in pen underneath it:
"So does the ASP."
The chief's pissed, but I still chuckle when I see it.

So I have to admit that I have no idea who the ASP is. I googled it. Astronomical Society of the Pacific? Association of Software Professionals? Association of Surfing Professionals?
Whiskey Tango Foxtrot?
Google isn't helping. What does ASP mean?
I hope the chief didn't see me writing it!
Hehehe. Cops will write snide comments on any sign hung by the command staff. I have actually had staff members bring some of these items to me to process for prints. Of course, I never found any.
Sorry folks. ASP = Expandable Baton. Very effective compliance tool for when folks just don't want to work with you.

Hilarious!
And there's something wonderous about the sound of an ASP deploying, my second favorite sound to a shotgun racking.
Hilarious!
The sound of an ASP deploying is just wonderful. Secondly only to a shotgun racking.
B.A.R. is right. Coppers will always mess with the any offical posting.
In my station, someone hung a picture of Alfred E. Neuman among the photos of the Board of Commissioners.
And who says cops don't have a sense of humor? HILARIOUS!!!!!

Not just memos from upstairs. Accidential open mics, pictures at scene...are all free game.
